For Conference Organisers

Publish Selected Conference Papers with Critical Dialectics

Critical Dialectics welcomes proposals from conference organisers interested in publishing selected conference papers on topics related to literature, language, philosophy, culture, and critical and interdisciplinary humanities studies.

Subject to editorial approval and peer review, selected papers from academic conferences, seminars, and symposia may be considered for publication as a special issue or conference proceedings.

Why Collaborate with Critical Dialectics?

A Humanities-Focused Publication Platform

The journal provides a dedicated platform for research in literary studies, language studies, philosophy, cultural studies, and related areas of the humanities.

Open Access

Published articles are made freely accessible online, allowing researchers, teachers, students, and other readers to access and share the research.

Peer Review

All papers accepted for publication are subject to the journal’s established editorial and peer-review process. Conference participation does not guarantee publication.

Professional Editorial Process

Accepted papers undergo editorial checks and preparation for publication to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with the journal’s submission requirements.

DOI and Online Publication

Where applicable, published articles may receive individual Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), supporting stable identification and citation of the research.

CC BY 4.0 Licence

Articles published by Critical Dialectics are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, subject to the journal’s licensing policy.

Publication Options

Depending on the nature and quality of the submissions, conference papers may be considered for:

  • A themed special issue of Critical Dialectics;
  • A conference proceedings volume; or
  • A selected collection of papers developed into research articles suitable for regular journal publication.

The final publication format will be determined in consultation with the editorial team.

How the Collaboration Works

1. Send Your Conference Proposal

Conference organisers may contact us with basic details, including:

  • Conference title and theme
  • Organising institution or academic body
  • Date and venue or online format
  • Conference website or information page, if available
  • Expected number of papers
  • Proposed publication timeline

2. Editorial Assessment

The editorial team will assess the conference theme and proposed papers for relevance to the journal’s scope and publication requirements.

3. Manuscript Submission and Peer Review

Selected authors submit their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s guidelines. Each manuscript undergoes the applicable editorial and peer-review process.

Participation in the conference or selection by the conference organisers does not by itself guarantee acceptance for publication.

4. Editing and Publication

Papers that successfully complete the review and editorial process are prepared for online publication as part of the agreed special issue or proceedings.

Conference Partnership and APCs

For approved conference collaborations, Critical Dialectics may offer special publication rates depending on the number of papers and the proposed publication format.

Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs), services included, and payment terms will be communicated to the conference organisers before publication.

What We Expect from Conference Organisers

Conference organisers are expected to:

  • Ensure that submitted papers are original and have not been simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
  • Provide accurate information about the conference and its organisers.
  • Ensure that authors agree to the journal’s publication and ethical policies.
  • Follow the agreed manuscript submission and publication schedule.
  • Inform authors clearly about any applicable publication charges.
